Stevens county moose
« on: December 24, 2009, 05:54:41 PM »
Not as good as some of you other photo people but the story is pretty funny. This was in late modern deer in 08'. My hunting buddy was walking out and this guy stepped out in front of him about 20 yards or so. My buddy got all excited to get some pics and followed him down this road. This is what you don't see.......off to the left of the road is a small clearcut. (my buddy the swede.....never looked down there because he was so excited about the moose). After following the moose down the road about 200 yards or so a truck coming down behind him pulls over. An older gentleman steps out to take a leak at the edge of the clearcut and a 4x5 whitetail buck stands up about 70 yards down the clearcut....the old man (74 years of age) walks back to his truck grabs his gun and kills the buck.  My buddy...the swede...had tag soup that year. :chuckle: But at least he got some moose photos.

Just one more day
